“Assessing the Landscape of Hunger and its Solutions in New Jersey” Advisory Work Group

Board Member Community Access Unlimited (CAU) will represent ABCD on the Advisory Work Group which will help to inform the Food Research and Action Center’s final report of recommendations for Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s consideration to help advance efforts underway to help reduce food insecurity, support good nutrition and health equity.

Poverty issues which include food insecurity disproportionately impact people affected by disability. It is a pervasive and multi-dimensional issue that requires creative, cross-sector, and collaborative solutions. Because CAU is a day, residential and support coordination service provider, it is uniquely poised to contribute statewide and local information. ABCD looks forward to working to help promote food security so that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities may have a productive and healthy life in the community.
