ABCD Welcomes New Leadership and Membership on the Assembly Human Services Committee. Testifies on Legislation.

ABCD congratulated and offered best wishes to Assembly Human Services Committee Chairperson Angelica M. Jimenez (D32) and the recipient of the ABCD/EIPA 2021 “Legislative Champion Award,” Vice Chairperson Pamela R. Lampitt (D7) as they take up the leadership of this important committee.

ABCD welcomed the seven new members of the committee and is looking forward to working with AHS to advance the humanitarian aims of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

At the first meeting of the committee, on February 14, 2022, ABCD testified in support of A1112, which requires DHS to disseminate information on transportation options for persons with developmental disabilities, A1693, which creates a voluntary resume bank for individuals with disabilities who wish to be appointed to a state board or commission, and A2043, “The New Jersey Disability Savings Act.”
