The Division and the Boggs Center will co-chair this committee which will be charged with the review and adoption of a core set of competencies which will aid in the development of a statewide tiered training frameworks that will be established to create a career pathway/DSP certificate program in New Jersey. In addition, frontline supervisor trainings will be reviewed and adopted to cultivate supervision that promotes the delivery of high-quality Home and Community Based Services by DSPs.

The work of the committee will be aligned with the efforts of the DSP Career Development Program which is in the process of being established by the New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development, from bill sponsored by Senate President Sweeney, Majority Leader Ruiz and Assemblyman Benson and recently signed into law by Governor Murphy.
