Very Sad News

It is with great sadness that I relay the news of the passing ABCD’s beloved Executive Director Dan Keating on September 21, 2019.  Dr. Keating was a tireless advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities whose compassion for all defined his efforts.  All of us at ABCD will miss Dan’s leadership and his tireless efforts on our behalf, but most of all his friendship. Over his more than 30 years of working in the field, Dr. Keating truly made a positive impact on the lives of the individuals with disabilities across the state of New Jersey.  An impact that we are honored to work to ensure endures.

Dr. Keating received his Doctorate Degree from Temple University.  He was an adjunct faculty member of the Psychology Department at Drexel University and the Human Services Department at Camden County College.  Dan was also a U.S. Army Veteran who proudly served his country from 1972 to 1977.

Visitation will be held at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.  On Thursday, September 26, 2019 there will be a mass of Christian burial at 10:30am at the Ss.Philip and James Church located at 107 N. Ship Rd., Exton PA.
