Hearing on Care Options for People with Developmental Disabilities

ABCD was one of a number of organizations and individuals to testify at a joint hearing of the Senate Committee on Health, Human Services, and Senior Citizens and the Assembly Committee on Human Services to discuss care options for people with developmental disabilities.  ABCD’s testimony focused on the ability of its member agencies to serve people with complex medical and neurological disabilities in the community; full funding of the plan, A Path to Progress; the need for community infrastructure; reinvestment of all federal funds into community services; and calling for the closure of a Developmental Center within the next two years.  To view ABCD’s testimony, please click  Testimony to Joint Committee on Care Options
