The Early Intervention system provides services for infants and toddlers, birth to age three, with developmental delays or disabilities, and their families. For more information on the Early Intervention, including how to navigate through the system, go to the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Citizens website: http://www.state.nj.us/health/fhs/eis/index.shtml
ABCD formed, in 2006, the Early Intervention Providers Association (EIPA) in order for providers of Early Intervention services to have a uniform voice at the policy table. EIPA members meet bi-monthly to discuss emerging issues and to develop strategies and recommendations to the Department of Health and Senior Services and other stakeholders within the Early Intervention System.
The following are the current foci of the EIPA:
Ensuring long term, responsible funding of the New Jersey Early Intervention System;
Issuing recommendations and analyses for improved communication and coordination within the New Jersey Early Intervention infrastructure
Ensuring that all children and families retain access to Early Intervention services in the State of New Jersey; and
Issuing recommendations and information for improved collaboration between providers, advocates and the Lead agency at the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.
Early Intervention Provider Association (EIPA) membership is open to all New Jersey EI providers (non profit and for profit). If an EI provider is interested in membership, please Contact Us
