See Me for Me!

Every March since 1987, the Disability Community participates in a campaign across America to raise public awareness of the abilities of people with Developmental Disabilities. This year, The National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD), the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) and the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) partnered to create the theme for the 2018 campaign!

“See Me for Me!”

Every day, DSPs are working to support people with disabilities toward having a meaningful life. Share those stories about how relationships and connections in the community foster inclusion and respect. What is it taking for people to come together to be more inclusive and accepting?

Get to know the person with the developmental disability as a person first—-not the disability!
